This summer, Alejandra and I hired an amazing group of interns from Dartmouth College, my alma mater. Dartmouth is renowned for its unique approach to language learning that rapidly gets students comfortable with a new language through various exciting group speaking exercises known as “drill.” Our Dartmouth interns are “drill experts” and have the firsthand experience to help us develop and refine our product, which has been heavily influenced by the methods taught at Dartmouth. Additionally, we wanted to give back and provide Dartmouth students with the opportunity to experience how entrepreneurship and social impact can go hand-in-hand. At Beepboop we are on a mission to revolutionize the online language learning industry, helping clinicians communicate more effectively with their Spanish-speaking patients. This mission is even more relevant today, where Hispanic patients are disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Our interns come from a variety of backgrounds and we know they can help improve our product and expand our market reach.

I really like building things up and seeing them grow. To see so many people working on that common goal with Beepboop, especially with (what I expect to be) more rapid growth, I think getting to watch everything happen will be a ton of fun!
